Yamama Project Directorate, West-Qurna-2 Project
Key Responsibility Areas:
· Contribute to the preparation and execution of the Field Development Plan (new wells, developments and reservoir management) to maximize oil production and revenues for the company.
· Perform, as part of a team, proposing engineering plans to integrate reservoir and well data to optimise the well production;
· Identifying solutions for field development, by interpreting and discussing reservoir model and well data with reservoir team, in order to maximize recovery efficiency and improve the field economics.
· Preparation of the pilot test programmes (water injection, gas injection, WAG etc.; design and analyse production/injection tests; recommends and specifies requirements for the testing programs of development wells;
· Propose of techniques and equipment to be used during the exploration, appraisal and development production test to ensure the quality of the data gathered.
· Run reservoir model to maximize recovery and meet production targets.
· Analyse and validate all Reservoir Engineering data; perform Reservoir Engineering analytical study to understand the fluid flow characteristics in the reservoir (production and injection optimization).
· Identify drilling opportunities and prepare related documentation; collaborating with drilling and operation teams to propose development wells completion design;
· Interpret and / or integrate all well and reservoir data (Well test, reservoir observation, fluid properties) to update 3D dynamic reservoir models and iterate with Reservoir Geologists to support business development decisions
· Support and/or prepare data gathering campaigns (logging, tracers, sampling, etc...)
· Prepare comprehensive reports on all projects achieved
· Quantify reservoir risk and uncertainty and integrate them in production forecast analysis
· Knows the Company health, safety and environmental policy, procedures, regulations and objectives as they relate to his area of responsibility, and ensures that they are effectively implemented.
Educational Qualifications & Experience Profile:
Degree in Engineering - M.Sc. degree - B.Sc. might be considered.
From 5 years industry experience
Experience in building and running 3D dynamic simulations models.
Experience in support of field development planning and uncertainty analysis.
Experience in development well planning and execution (including high angle / horizontal wells).
Experience in waterflood expected, EOR (Gas injection) would be a plus
Experience in using the programmes: Eclipse, Tempest, Petrel, Prosper, GAP, CorelDraw.
Fluent English – is a must,Fluent Russian – is a plus.
