Company A large international service organisation are seeking a highly experienced petrophysicist to join their established geoscience team. Education, Experience Requirements and Qualifications: * University degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Geology or equivalent technical subject. * More than 10 years of relevant discipline and oil and gas industry experience. * Position is based in Region Geoscience Center: Pau, France though location can be flexible. * Position reports to the Africa Region Geoscience Manager. * Petrophysical mentor / coaching for geomarket geoscientists - Travel in the region on an as needed basis to visit with customers and Geomarket support staff. * Co-ordinate cross regional geoscience work for assigned Geomarket * Candidate will work with region geoscience team on selected projects

This role is for a Senior Petrophysicist to join the team in Stavanger to work on a number of projects for multi-national operators based in the Norwegian North Sea. As the Senior Petrophysicist you will aquire and evaluate the primary well data for subsurface reservoirs. Your experience will be critical at every stage in the life cycle from exploration through appraisal and development. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to construct 3D models of target reservoirs and interpret this data to predict hydrocarbon flow.

The ideal Senior Petrophysicist for this role will have at least 10 years of industry experience with at least a couple of years being spent in the Norwegian North Sea. You should be accomplished in Petrophysical evaluation ( cased and open hole, carbonates and clastics ). A full understanding of fluid properties and dynamics with experience of fractures and fault systems. Also clastic and carbonate sedimentology. You should be fully I.T literate with a good understanding of Petrophysical software.
